Class DescriptionsSee the Calendar. Basic Pet obedienceThis basic 6-week class will cover basic manners, leash walking, sit, down, stay and come. This is the foundation for higher levels. This class appropriate for a puppy that knows nothing or an adult dog that just needs to brush up their skills. Advanced Pet obedienceThis 6-week class is designed to strengthen your dog’s obedience skills. We will expand on all the skills learned in the basic class. We will begin heeling and off lead work. Novice Ring prep classThis 4-week class is to prepare you and your dog for the Novice class at shows. This class will go into detail on how to enter a show and what to expect. We will work on proofing our dog’s skills and helping them resist distractions. The last class will be a fun match, which will be a show like setting. Attention Obedience classThis 8-week class is devoted to getting great attention from your dog in the ring. All dogs should already know the basic commands. We will work extensively on handling, footwork and commands. Rescue Greyhound ClassThis special 4-week class is to help people who adopted a greyhound. It is designed to help ex-racers succeed in their new life as a pet. A portion of each class fee is donated to Greyhound Pets of America. Other rescue dogs are welcome as space allows. People who are interested in potentially adopting a greyhound are welcome to visit the class free of charge. Tracking classThis 6-week class will give you the fundamentals of Tracking. We will cover how to start your dog tracking, track laying and mapping. This class will teach you the basic skills to enter a tracking test. weight pullBeginning weight pull classes are offered as a one-day clinic.
